Business and Professions Code section 26190 established annual reporting requirements for the Department of Cannabis Control (Department). Beginning March 1, 2023, and annually thereafter, the Department must prepare and submit to the Legislature an annual report on activities within the Department for the prior fiscal year.

The report also provides updated data about the Equity Fee Waiver and Deferral Program for the prior fiscal year.

Finally, the enclosed report includes the Department’s responses pursuant to the Budget Act of 2022, under the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Item 1115-102-0001, which requires, beginning in 2023, and until 2026, the Department to provide a report on the Cannabis Local Jurisdiction Retail Access Grant Program.
